Welcome to the road blog!
On 13th June 2012, solo rider Chris Armishaw will set out on his bike from Oceanside, California, as part of the Race Across America. Chris will aim to cycle over 3,000 miles to Annapolis, Maryland, in just 10 days. He will be cycling to raise awareness and money for the charity Action Medical Research. This blog will chart this epic journey, from the point-of-view of both Chris and his road crew.

5 Weeks to Go...
It's now less than 5 weeks until Chris and the crew fly out to California to start the RAAM adventure. Things started to feel very real today, as we had a team meeting to discuss the multitude of logistical elements which must be carefully planned ahead of the race. Most importantly, we all got hold of our team kit, which will make us look very smart indeed! In the run up to June 13th, and during the race, this blog will be authored by both Chris and members of the 7-strong road crew. We hope to give you an insight into the challenge of RAAM on a daily basis, and we will share photos, stories and race updates whenever we can. Thank you for checking out the blog; more to follow very soon!
